Job Description: We are seeking a Job Developer/Case Manager (Bilingual Preferred) in the Mid-Wilshire area to provide job placement services and job-site based support, supervision, and instruction to participants with intellectual and physical disabilities. The Job Developer/Case Manager will serve as one the primary points of contact for the individuals accessing supported employment services while working with the participant’s families, Regional Center, and other community service providers. This position involves working with individual cases and working with employers within the community to develop employment opportunities for participants.
-Bachelor’s Degree preferred and/or at least 3 years of related work experience in case management and job development preferred. Proficiency in written and verbal English required, bilingual (English/Spanish) skills preferred. DSP1 and DSP2 certification required.
Develop, cultivate and maintain business partner relationships.
Present effective employment model to employers.
Negotiate new or renewal wage level with employers.
Accompany participants on their first day of work.
Create, complete and maintain all required documentation and reports for funding source(s).
Attend ISP (Individual Service Plan) meetings, as assigned.
Provide interview training to participant.
Identify and engage in network-building activities (e.g. community and professional organizations).
Ensure and comply with all Liberty Employment Services, Inc. policies and procedures, which ensure confidentiality is followed for all individuals we serve and support, as prescribed by Agency policy, HIPAA, Federal and State Laws.
Participate in all agency required training.

• Additional duties as assigned by the leadership team • Flexibility • Takes initiative and is a proactive problem solver • Participates in any agency required training. • Serves as a role model for Liberty Employment Services, Inc. staff promoting the agency mission, vision, values and guiding principles. • Foster agency and program wide cooperation and teamwork through use of positive and/or constructive communication techniques. • Ensure and comply with all Liberty Employment Services, Inc. policies and procedures • Provide case management for an assigned caseload who receive supported employment services within each individual’s plan of care. • Develop a service plan designated for Liberty Supported Employment and/or Liberty Employment Services that meets the needs of the individual on your caseload and act as the liaison between both programs as needed to support the individual. • Work in conjunction with job coaches and management team to ensure that the individuals on each case load find employment and have meaningful employment skills. • Ensure that all individual case files and other documentation (i.e., timesheets, CentralReach documentation, and other forms) are organized and maintained at all times. • Ensure that daily contact and/or interaction with Regional Centers, individual employers, and Liberty Management Team meet the mission and vision of Liberty Employment services. • Ensure that all ISP meetings are scheduled, attended, completed, and submitted within 30 days as assigned to fulfill these responsibilities • Complete other duties as assigned
Experience with job development and placement strategies that includes the following: job analysis, task analysis, and job creation
Proficient in basic office equipment, including Microsoft Office Suite. Marketing and\or sales experience. Ability to make effective presentations
Knowledge of benefit counseling (SSI, SSDI).
Experience assisting individuals in the use of adaptive devices and communication aids
Immediate access to a vehicle with working seat belts, valid driver’s license, current auto insurance and acceptable DMV record. -Ability to travel within and throughout the assigned program area in which services are provided and throughout the county on a quarterly basis to attend meetings, training, etc.
Experience in the community-based instruction in critical life needs areas
Experience with job development and placement strategies, including: job analysis, task analysis and job carving.
Familiarity with job coaching support, instructional strategies and developing on the job natural supports.
Experience with instruction in critical life need areas, with emphasis on employment readiness, job placement and employment.
Experience with small group placement that includes direct (hands-on) experience with individuals with a wide range of intellectual and physical disabilities that includes, but is not limited to: mental illness, substance use, and/or severe behavioral challenges
Additional Required Skills:
-Direct (hands-on) experience with individuals with a wide range of intellectual & physical disabilities, mental illness, substance use, including persons with the most severe challenges. -Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and written. Proficient in the usage of grammar, spelling, punctuation and vocabulary. -Ability to teach and demonstrate job search skills -Ability to effectively negotiate wage levels -Successful completion of drug screen and background check. CPR & First Aid \ CPI (crisis prevention intervention) is required within the first 30-60 days of employment.
